Shaping Cities Together
Transition Patterns is a research-driven consultancy by urban mobility researchers at the to bridge the gap between academic insight and real-world impact, helping cities, operators, and policymakers design transport systems that are not only efficient but equitable.
Our work sits at the intersection of data science, spatial analysis, and social justice. We study how people actually move through cities, who gets left behind by current systems, and what it takes to build alternatives that serve everyone. From evaluating e-scooter deployment equity to uncovering gendered gaps in travel behavior, we bring rigorous methodology to questions that matter.
We believe a good mobility policy starts with good evidence. That means going beyond ridership numbers to understand the lived experiences of communities, especially those historically excluded from planning conversations. Whether through survey design, spatial modeling, or policy evaluation, we help our partners see the full picture and act on it.
